Meet the cast and crew of The Ever After-A Musical

 

Headshot Laura Laura Jacobsen As Stepsister 2

A graduate of VanArts, Laura landed a lead in a short directed by Chilton Craneand played Gregg Adams in The Best of Everything in 2016.  Being in The Fringe is a huge stepping stone for Laura who is looking to dive back into the entertainment industry at every opportunity.

While Kayla Willsey has always been a ham, it’s only been recently that she’s gotten involved in theatre. Kayla studied classical voice at the U of A, where she performed (and cross-dressed) in three operas. Young Frankenstein was her first musical, but TEA is her first named musical role.

Hannah Hannah Zacharko As Beth

Hannah is thrilled to be a part of her first Fringe production.  Her credits include Sondheim on Sondheim at MacEwan and Carousel with Foote in the Door.  She hopes you enjoy the production!

Emily Rutledge As Cinderella

Emily is a veteran of community theatre, but this is her first time performing with Sherard; she’s excited to play the role of Cinderella. Recently Emily performed in Leduc Drama Society’s “Drinking Habits”, directed and performed in Walterdale’s Cradle to Stage festival, and directed “The Little Mermaid” for Stageworks Academy.

Heeyun Park As Snow White

Heeyun is currently finishing her BMus in Voice Performance at the UAlberta where she recently played a principle role in the opera “L’etoile”. She was in the opera in Fringe ’16 and is excited to be in a musical this year with this wonderful cast. @hynpk

Harley Hempel As Loudmouth Larry

Harley Hempel, playing the role of the very critical Loudmouth Larry, is thrilled to be performing with Sherard Musical Theatre for the first time. Residing in Sherwood Park, Harley wears multiple hats from Husband to Father to Recreation Therapist, and enjoys dabbling in photography and playing the guitar.

Morgan Desautels As Jiminy Cricket

Hello Morgan here as your conscience and wanted to welcome you to the theatre production of Ever After. Feel free to forgive and forget and live the life you want, my advice to anyone is to stay away from those high school science classrooms they are absolutely murder well better move on to my next client. Enjoy the show

Taylor Pfeifer As Old Lady #1

Taylor Pfeifer has been doing theatre for 6 years and dance for over 10 years. She also attended the Theatre Performance and Creation program at Red Deer College. She loves TYA and is so excited to be a part of this magical show with such a hard-working group of people.

Denise England As The Queen

Denise is very privileged to be working with such an incredible cast for The Ever After-A Musical. Denise was raised in a home where music was a cornerstone of family life. From being a part of many  Easter and Christmas productions from a very young age, music and acting was a huge part of her life. Denise spent 16 years with the Alberta Lyric Theater in the production of “Love According to John”  as the “Adultress Woman” and this last Christmas was honored to be a part of “Little Girl Lost” as “Molly”

Carly Neis As Airhead Alice

Carly is beyond excited to be making her Sherard Musical Theatre debut in The Ever After. Some of her favourite roles are Sarah in Wedding Bells and Bombshells and From Hollywood to Broadway (EMT). She’s like to thank her family and friends for all their love and support. To the audience, she hopes this show puts a smile on your face and a song in your heart.

Kassidy Cuisine As Old Lady #2

Kassidy Cusine has been part of the acting community for 4 years! She started as a cow in her third grade school play with one line, “moo!”, and has now been a part of 4 plays and counting! Her first out of school role was the original launch of “Prom Night of the Living Dead” as a zombie. From there she was able to be a part of other productions such as “Battle of the 90’s” and “Lights Up!” Kassidy had an amazing time preparing for “Ever After” and getting to know the cast! She hopes you have as much fun watching the show as much as she loved being apart of it! Enjoy!

Charlie Day As The Mirror

Charlie Day has been training as an actor since high school and has studied with institutions including Company of Rogues, Loose Moose Theatre, and St. Mary’s University. He has featured in musicals and plays such as Twelfth Night, Fiddler on the Roof, and Mieko Ouchi’s The Dada Play. Charlie is very pleased to be a part of this fun and memorable production!

Mark Middaugh As Pat

Mark was only seven years old when he first performed with a solo of “Lullaby on Broadway”. His love of  performing and his vocal talents have provided him with many opportunites to be cast in productions including  “The music man, “Fiddler on the Roof”,Don’t Stop Believing” and Broadway Bound’s Lights up as Henry Higgins. Mark continues to take classes and workshops whenever he can and love/hates to work out at the gym.

Mark Richards Assistant Stage Director

Mark Richards’ contributions to the Fringe Festival included serving onstage as a stage manager for The Grave Digger and Prom Night of the Living Dead. His contributions extends to productions both onstage for Walterdale Theatre and behind the scenes for the recent film Break on Through. Very recently, his short screenplay Baby Louie was awarded Best Comedy Short by the Hollywood Just4Shorts Competition

Brett is delighted to be directing this great show with his wife Pattie. His job is made easier by having a cast and crew that are talented, enthusiastic and dedicated.  Previously Brett was an assistant director for The View from Here with the St. Albert Theatre Troupe. He has acted in a dozen plays and most recently played Jared in a Little Piece of Heaven.

Rachel Whipple Props

Rachel has been have so much fun building and finding props for Ever After. This talented cast and crew has been nothing but welcoming. Rachel has done props for several shows including Shatter and Boeing Boeing at the Walterdale. She first tried her hand at props during the show Harvey at Concordia University of Edmonton. She thanks Sherard Musical Theatre Association for giving her the chance to bring her props making skills to the Edmonton International Fringe!

Patti Hammerlindl Musical Director

Pattie is excited to try out her new, never done before role of Musical Director!  After 25 years of experience on the stage, she decided to see what it was like on the other side of the “Fourth Wall”.  What a great experience it has been!  The people involved have worked very hard for weeks learning the lyrics and music, plus the choreography and their spoken lines, blocking, costumes and make up!  Pattie sends her love and thanks to a cast and crew that have made her laugh, cry, and smile with gratitude.

Becca Firlotte Stage Manager

Becca is beyond excited to be making her Fringe debut with such a talented cast and crew on The Ever After: A Musical. She has been Stage Manager for Walterdale’s 2018 Cradle to Stage and Production Manager for their performance of Shatter in 2017. She hopes you enjoy the show and dance along with our fairytale characters

 

Sonja Gould Choreographer

This is Sonja’s third show choreographing for Sherard. From Fall-Spring she is the Drama Instructor of the Tween and Teen classes at Edmonton Musical Theatre. Onstage credits: HMS Pinafore (Opera Nuova), Six Degrees of Separation (Walterdale Theatre) and The Dining Room and Animal Farm: The Musical (Neptune Theatre). Enjoy the show!!!
